It depends on NW version. With 7.4SP2 you no longer need CCC. DSN in cluster is supported since 7.4SP1 I believe... perhaps even 7.4... should be documented in release notes.

We are used NW 7.3.x which upgrade from NW 7.2.x.
for Networker 7.3,How require number Dedicated SN license for clustering and Can it support cluster Y/N?.

By the book, having DSN in cluster was not supported for those versions.

I checked with support and as per them even on 7.4.2, DSN is not supported for virtual host on a cluster...you need to have storage ndoe license only.

I believe there should be entry in release supplement which states something different.

Oh Thanks, I just checked in release notes and it says:

"DSN cluster backup
The Physical node can be configured as a DSN to back up the cluster's virtual
node."

In this case then, we need DSN licenses and not SN licenses, you save a lots of money there.

However, when I logged in Sev 3 Sr with support, this is what they ahd to day:

"Hello Anuj,

I confirmed and you need a storage node license.

Also as the storage node going to be on cluster you need to use the curphyhost attribute in the virtual node.

I hope you got the required information."

I am understanding something incorrectly.

The change is to happen from 7.4.

I am using NW 7.3.3 (build 510) I could not get my backup to work with with DSN. I had to have SN.

You have good and bad people. As support is made of people, you have good and bad support.
