What Networker version, OS version of backup server & Storage nodes and which library are you using? Post the error also if any OR post the jbconfig text.

Did you try configuring the library through NMC GUI? If you are using NW 7.3.4 onwards, GUI is more stable in configuring libraries than its previous versions. Try that.

Well, library may be not ready for initial amount of time after configured if lib inventory runs. It may remain so if your control port is not correct. Did you verify with sjirdtag library responds on given control port?

Library becoming ready has no direct link to drive paths at OS level because it just waits for library to become online and to be able to communicate with it. It is strange that in DDS scenario you see this though... If I were you, I would test it further.

The link you provided is reference where drive order is not correct which may happen only after your library is set to ready state.

No, NW will start nsrmmd for given path no matter if the path is correct or not.
