A Community Technology Preview (CTP) is a version of a Microsoft product that is released to early users and software developers for testing before the start of general availability. Microsoft began using the CTP process in 2004 to get user feedback and bug reports on new software releases that were under development.
Thanks Wallace ,, Our customer is trying Beta Version of it and they want to start Qualification process once its available ,part of QA is to have supported backup tool , hence the ask

The current NMM 9.1.x does not yet support SQL Server 2017 at this time.
The highest version that NMM 9.1 currently supports is SQL Server 2016
Note: currently SQL Server 2017 is not officially released yet.. As per:
