Does the SQL open database module 4.X for Networker for Windows support or is there a feature or configuration that will flush the logs after backup?
NW 7.21
For 4.x, check admin guide and section where it talks about backup properties for each database: "Starting with NetWorker Module release 3.1, only one database property exists, Truncate Content Before Performing Backup. In effect, this truncates the transaction logs before backup, and then backs up the databases and the transaction logs."
If you check for keyword truncate you will find more details which may be relevant to you.
Deafult behavior in NMSQL 5.0 is that log truncation is only enabled with FULL backup. Additionally, NMSQL 5.0 only trucncates logs if the user explicitly specifies log truncation. So by default NMSQL 5.0 does not trucate logs. Therefore NMSQL 5.0 should never disrupt the log shipping environment unless user himself chooses to do log trucation.
