Strange problem

Hello, need help with the next issue, please.
Our had STK L40 library in their environment configured with Networker 7.3
Recently they has purchased SL500 library. They need it to work in the same Networker environment as L40.
SL500 Jukebox was configured successfully. But when we tried to perform inventory operation it worked ok for couple minutes and then drives went to return the next message "Read open error, there is not a tape in the drive" (actually tapes were in drives), unmount operation gave us the same error.
When we installed Netwoker on the same FC switch on another test server, we successfully configured this library and were able to perform inventory, labeling and backups.
We still need to get this library working on existing Networker server. Could you help us with this issue?

Load tape to device via sjimm in physical order given by sjirdtag and verify with mt which logical device that is. When running jbconfig use physical device order defining logical devices.

Most probably there is mismatch between logical and physical order of drives.

    Thanks for the response.
Yes, it can be so, but how and where can we check it or fix it?

    Guys,
I have got to add a new media server which can have an access to the SL500 drives, but i am a newbie on Backup environment.I wanted to know how does SL500 know about the media servers, do we have to enter any WWN details of the media server ? I have already connected the media sever to FC switch which is connected to SL500 and will do the zoning to make all the 8 drives available to the new media server. What i don't know is if i need to make any entries to SL500 GUI ?
    Thanks in advance

It is advisable to Create a new thread with a sensible heading of your problem.

There might be mismatch of drives during the configuration.
