Unable to perform Hyper-V backup
Hi Guys,
I have two new setups of Hyper-V on windows server 2012 R2. Both Hyper-V host two VMs. I have networker 9.0.1 on Rhel 7.2. The client and NMM version is 9.0.1.
I configured the Hyper-V backups successfully however it fails with following error
Ünable to setup direct save with server : No matching IP interface data domain devices for the save of client ; check storage nodes, devices or pools."
I tried to use both data domain as well as tape for backup with NSRSERVER as storage node.
From client properties perspective, when using tape as destination, I unchecked BB backup option and client direct and also unchecked data domain as target but the issue persists.
Opposite was done was target was Data Domain.
Need your Help in resolving this issue.

Hi,
First thing to note is that the only supported way of backup for hyperv is with Client Direct, and the hyperv node should be zoned (if SAN) or reach the datadomain directly bypassing the storage node/server.
If you still have issues you could try to configure one of your hyperv nodes as a storage node that is also a valid configuration.
