Management vlan

We have implemented a Dell 6024 and a group of 5324's. We have trunked the ports between the devices. We cannot telnet to the vlan 1 address of the 5324's. However the workstations which are on vlan 10 can communicate just fine. Is there any special configuration I need to do to facilitate this?
I am familiar with HP's, Cisco switches and 3 Com switches and have never had this issue before.
Thanks in advance for any info you can provide. We have opened a case with tech support but no one has gotten back to us. The case has been open since Tuesday.

It depends on how you configured the switches.  When you said trunk, do you mean you configured VLAN trunks in between the switches?  If you did then did you allowed VLAN 1 to go between these switches?  If you didn't then that would cause you not to be able to communicate to VLAN 1.  Anyway, I'm just guessing really if I can't see your configuration.  So best thing to do is to post the config and explain your setup and show us your topology and one of us here will be able to identify the problem.
