Powerconnect 5012
I recently purchased a dell powerconnect 5012, I am using this switch in my existing network of 3 computers, I have a cable modem with a built in router, also hooked up to the network
It seems like everything is working fine, then the switch seems to restart itself, randomly, could this be a configuration problem that is causing it reset or a hardware problem with the switch.
It will be on for a couple of minutes then the green power light will flip to orange, then it will stay orange, and blink green once in a while, like it is trying to configure. It will stay in this state until I power it off. Once I repower it on it will function then crash again. Same thing.
Also when it crashes all ports are dead.
If some else had a similar experience please let me know.

- I'm having a similar problem, my switch goes off-line and can't be reached. I have some monitoring software that sends the switch a ping every minute or so and sends me an alert when the switch stops responding. This happens every 5 to 7 days, I recycle the power and it works again.
Any thoughts out there on troubleshooting?
