Upgrading network

I'm looking at replacing my current dlink DES 1009G switch with a new power connect 2324. I also am looking into replacing my Gbit switch with a new power connect 2616. I have two questions on my current plan.

Dose the 2324 allow for load balancing on its 2 Gbit ports? I have not been able to find any documentation on dell's web site it can or can't.

Dose the 2616 allow for load balancing I would need this for the 2324 and for the new power edge 650's dual port network card. If the 2616 dose not allow load balancing can you please recommend one.

Thank you for you time in this matter

Both the 2300 series and 2600 series switches are unmanaged devices. They have no Link Aggregation (IEEE 802.3ad) or Spanning Tree (IEEE 802.1d) functions.

If the "load balancing" you are trying to accomplish requires the use of either static or dynamic (dynamic using LACP) Link Aggregation, then neither of these switches would suit your purpose. You would need a managed switch that supports IEEE 802.3ad.

If you are using teaming software on the NICs, you would have to use a team that does not require support of Link Aggregation on the switches. Intel's AFT (Adapter Fault Tolerance) & ALB (Adapter Load Balancing) and Broadcom's SLB (Smart Load Balancing) teams do not require any configuration of the switch.
