I just created a new VLAN to support our VOIP deployment. There are already several VLANs in use as follows:
VLAN1 - default on the 6024 (assigned IP of 192.168.1.254 for VLAIN IP address)
VLAN3 - Feeds an IDC with corresponding IP Subnet of 192.168.3.0/24
...
..
VLAN11 Feeds an IDC with corresponding IP Subnet of 192.168.11.0/24
All together there are 6 VLANs with 6 IP subnets. Each VLAN is associated with a physical location (DATA Closet) so the configuration is a collapsed backbone with a star configuration.
Here is the problem - the VOIP deployment requires a single VLAN and new POE hardware.
I provisioned a new VLAN (VLAN2) and assigned it a new IP subnet to support the phones.
The problem is that this new VLAN needs to be deployed to all of the data closets. This requires multiple physical ports on the backbone 6024. Can I assign multiple ports to the 6024 to all be VLAN 2 members (PVID) and still have the IP address assigned to the VLAN2 interface?
I am not clear how to have this VLAN connect back to the 6024 since it requires multiple physical ports to accomidate all of the IDC's.

I'm not sure about this possibility, but I think you can assign multiple ports to the 6024 to all be VLAN 2 member setting ports to General Mode. The only problem is that members must be on the same subnet. You can read more about port overlapping in:
Yes, you can configure an IP address to a VLAN which has more then one ports in its membership on the same switch. The IP address assigned belongs to the single VLAN. So on a 6024, it means that if you use this IP address on your VLAN (VLAN 2 in your example) to access the switch you can get to this IP address from all the ports which are member of VLAN 2. Also on 6024, this IP address & associated mask identifies the directly connected network on VLAN 2. This means that all ports member of VLAN 2 on this 6024 are considered to be valid destinations for packets belonging to the same subnet defined by the IP/mask assigned to VLAN 2.

BTW, I just wanted to make sure that you realize you can only assign this IP address to only ONE 6024. So all the ports on a single 6024 may be associated with a single VLAN and that VLAN may have a single IP address, but that IP address must not be assigned to another 6024 even if it also have ports that are member of the same VLAN (e.g. VLAN 2 in your example).
