Cannot connect to Local(C:) but others ok
I am using a 3 month old Studio XPS 8100 with Windows 7. This is wired to a router to a cable modem. I also have 2 other Dell PC's wirelessly connected. In the Windows 7 unit (connected to the router), I have gone to a number of folders and shared them by doing "Shared with"/Advanced sharing and in permissions gave "full control" to "everyone". When I look at the various folders on the wireless units, I can connect to all of them (i.e. Users, user, Documents, etc.) except Local(C:) and any subfolders that I have created under C:. Is there a special configuration that must be set in order for the wireless units to share the Local C: folder?

Thanks for the link. I went into it and added the registry item as shown. It gave a choice of adding a string D Word (32bit) and Q Word (64bit). I chose the Q Word since my Windows 7 is 64 bit. After I rebooted, I went back to the wireless PC's and of the many folders that it recognized when I click on "C" in the Windows 7 machine, I got the error message "not accessible. You might not have permission to access this network resource". I had tried to the D Word (32bit) above, but that did not work either. Is there anything else you could suggest?
