Explorer will not launch

DSL line seems to be functional, network connection is shown with speed
When I try to launch explorer it tries to show home page but screen stays blank, no error message
I did notice something today that I had not noticed in the past on the bottom of the screen was an icon for ODBC Data Source Administrator.
The computer was working fine this morning e-mail, web pages displayed a fax was the last thing that was received before Explorer would not launch again.

I ran a network connection test which failed to Ping the IP address

Problem solved. Seems as though you must clear the history, delete files and cookies once in a while. Go figure.
