Inspiron 1100 internal LAN Port

How do I find what Internal Network LAN adapter I have so I can find the Driver for my Inspiron 1100 (ST#C24HP21). I just bought the computer on Ebay and the seller did not have the password so I had to reload XP Home.

Thanks for posting the machine's Service Tag. That makes it much easier.

The internal adapter is a Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller. Here's the link to the driver. If you haven't already registered at Dell Support, you'll probably need to do so before the download will succeed.

Thank you very much for your help, it worked like a charm...now I just need to figure out how to get it to recognize and play DVD's?

You'll need DVD playing software (it doesn't come with windows).

I've loaded WinDVD ver.6 but it will not recognize a DVD in the player. The drive is a DVD/CDR-RW and it writes just fine.
