I have a Demension 2400 and cannot get online.  I have run modem helper and it gives me error 'code:53' amd suggests that I contact Dell Tech. I have done that and am waiting for a response from them. (should be 6-12 hours)  The test also says it shows nothing wrong with modem and it is probably hardware conflict.  I have run device manager and it says all is working.  Does anyone know what these two codes mean?   AOL gives message: 'Communication Port is invalid or busy'.
