No wireless connection

I have an older Dell Inspiron 6000, uses Intel PRO wireless to connect to my home wireless network. Worked fine yesterday, today I get "No supported wireless adapters available in the system". It wont let me toggle the ENABLE button. The device management window is blank. I click on the Intel Pro wireless icon and when the window opens I cant toggle any of the buttons.  I tried to repair it through the add/ remove option, NOTHING. Any help would be appreciated.

     bikeguy08,

You can try using system retore and go back to when it worked.

    Try reading...

No Items Appear in the Device Manager List When You Open It

Have you scanned for malware? Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware update it and do a quick scan. Did it find anything?

The system restore didn't work. Although I'm not sure if it was done properly.  On the create a restore date calendar the only BOLDED date was today. I created another date to restore to but when the restore completed it said that the system had been restored to both todays date AND the earlier date that I created. Also upon restart I got an error message.

The title of the warning box read:  6c8: ituneshelper.exe - unable to locate component

In the warning box it read: This application has failed to start because ASL.dll not found. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem

I tried to uninstall itunes completely as I don't use it on this computer but it wouldn't let me.

I also turned on the plug and play as  you suggested Its showing that P and P is enabled, But! I got another error message.

    Title box  read: Configuration Manager

The message in the box read: The Plug and Play service is not available

     bikeguy08,

Hit the Windows key and the R keys at the same time. Type

    services.msc

Hit enter. Look for Plug and play. It should be set for automatic.

If this is correct, then I would possibably read Please Read This Before Posting For Malware Removal Help, then post in the  DELL Malware Removal Forum. It's possible some type of malware is causing these problems.
