Precision 670 / Ghost 2003 Problem

I've read theory after theory regarding a network boot disk for the E1000.dos driver.  I have tried everything and come up short every time.  Has anyone attempted this on a Precision 670.  Pro1000 MTW card.

Any help would be EXTREMELY appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

I've tried the symantec drivers, I've tried the dell drivers, I've tried command line switches of /noide and -fni

I'm edited the protocol.ini I don't know how many times...  Please help.

    Thanks.

I'm giving up!  Please feel free to still comment but for now I'm going to use a 3COM card.  This is rediculous.

I've been able to get it working on the same machine. Email me and I'll send you a floppy disk image.

    Cheers

I gave up on Norton Ghost 2003 a while back due to similar problems.

I now use Acronis True Image Software.

Full image backup, disk clone, backup and restore is made extremely easy and a very intuitive interface.

ok ok , I got back to IowaStudio on private email and sorry but I haven't really imaged the precision again since last year but the process was this:

Using Ghost boot disk wizard I create a boot disk to connect to a Ghost Cast Server ( Only way I could get it working).
When it asks for the driver to use I choose to create a new driver that I named 'B57'. The driver I downloaded from the Dell website was for a  Broadcom network card, which is what the precision came with.

Once that is done I choose PC DOS press next and it says that the image is too big and that I need two disks. Fine. Press ok.
The first disk has the network card drivers, the second the ghost.exe. Boot up, SEtup a Ghost cast session on my computer for it to connect to. It works for me.

    Things to check:

Make sure you have DHCP turned on on your network and that it allows leasing to 'unknown' clients.
Network connection to Ghost cast server

    Good Luck
