Problem With Wireless Connection

I am having trouble with the wireless connection. I am able to connect to the Wireless but some times a Yellow Triangle with exclamation mark is shown over the Connection Icon and the message says "No Internet Access". ON Troubleshooting, it says Switch OFF the Modem and than after 10 seconds, siwcth back ON. I did that but the problem remains.

    umeshg,

Try using these Recommended Wireless Router Settings in your wireless router, I use channel 11.

Try running Finding System Information REMOVE YOUR PRODUCT ID and post the rest of the information back here.

The Settings in the router are as per the "Recommended Wireless Router Settings". Still the problems. Sometimes it works and mostly the yelloe triangle is shown (though it works when connected to the LAN Cable).

    umeshg,

    Try looking at...

Start, control panel, device manager, network. Look and see if your adapter has antenna diversity. If it does, try changing it from auto to aux.

Also try disabling the wireles N on the adapter and see if it stays connected.

This in an Intel adapter, do you have the latest drivers installed?

    Are you using McAfee?

    Rick

    Rick,

It didn't have "antenna diversity". I tried with diabling wireless N. I even reset the router and created a new connection. It worked for a day and than again the same problem.

    I have the latest drivers.

I am using Norton Internet Security.

    umeshg,

Look in Nortons settings and see if there is something about full internet access.

Allow a printer past Norton This is actually for file and printer sharing but the setting is near here.

    Rick,

None of this works. Even after I disable Norton completely, the problem still exits.
