Yes, I've installed a Truemobile 1300 miniPCI card in my I8200. Works great. Part number from Dell Spare parts is J0846.

I have and Inspiron 600 with a TruMobile 1300 MiniPCI card.  I have a Linksys BE11FWS4 Wireless Router.  I run three other Dell desktops with Lynksis USB adaptors - they run very well.  My 600 is very slow on the internet and performance is intermitent.  I have worked with Dell to no avail.  I was finaly told last night (after three months and countless hours on the phone), that Dell was experiencing problems with the 1300 and that I should upgrade to the 1400.  I could not confirm the problem with any of the three other techs I had to speak with in order to initiate a replacement to the 1400.  Does anyone else have this problem?  Has anyone opted for the 1400 with a Linksys Router?  Does it work well?

Desparate for a good and consistant wireless experience on my 600!!!

I've got an Inspiron 8200 and want to buy an internal Wifi mini-PCI card. Is the truemobile 1300 easy to install or do I need soldering or downloading thousands of drivers? Could you pls tell me how you did it? thanks.

I have the Linksys WRT54g wireless router and hope to test the TM1300 with it this week.

Forgive me if I'm presenting info you already know...but
for most home broadband, 802.11B (at 11mbps) is plenty fast.
Your common DSL or cable connection will top out before the
    11mbps does!

The only time it would be useful to go at 54mbps is when you were
transferring a very large file between two machines wirelessly.

When I download from Microsoft (say, directX drivers), I get a top
download speed of 100 k per sec with the 11mbps or 54mbps. The
bottleneck here is the cable connection, not the wireless card.

Don't think that your download speed will increase on your wireless
network with a 54G standard card. It's already going as fast as it
    will go!
