Inspiron 640m (latest bios A09)
Intel 3945 Windows xp pro sp2 form an original CD fresh install (format)
fully windows updated
latest intel chipset driver
latest intel proset driver 10.5.2.0

Router : linksys WRT54G rev7 (european), latest firmware
No others softwares installed, absolutely clean system!

When the ssid broadcast option is on, no problem I can connect to my network (with wpa2 enabled)

When broadcast is off, under the proset utility, I see a "ssid not broadcasted" (or something like that) I click connect, I got a wizard windows where I put my network's name (SSID) and my password, then the wizard tells me : "ok all's fine, Push OK and I'll connect" and I click OK, the wizard close but nothing happen! Simply nothing.

I've tried with a friend's notebook (an older dell, with 2200BG intel) and it worked perfectly, when I click OK, connection is established.

I've tried with security off, router default parameters.. nothing change, when it's off my notebook doesn't want to connect... :-/

So, don't tell me SSID broadcast off give nothing more in terms of security. I just don't want that all the neighborhood know my network's name. Simply : why It doesn't work ? please help thanks! and sorry for my very bad writing skills :p
