You need to have a wireless network to connect to.  This can either be a wireless router connected to a broadband modem in your home, a wireless network at a school, or a public wireless network at some coffee houses, hotels, and airports.

What do you have?  Have you read the user's manuals that come with whatever it is you have?

If you go to Device Manager and click on the + sign next to Network Adapters, does the wireless network adapter show up there?

It looks like you don't have a wireless network card.  Are you sure that you ordered one when you ordered the computer.  They don't always come standard and are usually considered an option.  You have to choose this option when you order.  If you post your service tag number, I may be able to look it up to see if your computer was ordered with a wireless card.
