First, a broadband internet connection must be present. Second, a wireless router is needed. The wireless router connects to the broadband modem. Several computers can connect to the internet through the router through wired ethernet ports on the router and computers with wireless network cards can connect to the internet through the router, so long as they are within range of the router. The range depends on many factors, but is usally no more than a few hundred feet.

If you explain what you have and how you want to connect, we can provide you with details on how to do it.
