i ahve a dell mini 10 i bought a year ago and my wife uses it mainly for internet. all i own is dell, 3 computers. my inspiron 1545 zips thru on my wireless setup but the mini 10 is a turtle. needless to say wife is griping. connects ok shows 54mps or whatever, how can i increase internet speed? have a netgear n150 wireless encrypted. i don't know what installed card is and can it b upgraded to run faster or surf faster. i think router is standard 802.1 b-g ? thanks and GOD BLESS!
Go to device manager, network and see which adapter is there. If it's the Dell 1397 adapter, double click on it, then click on the advanced tab. Look for antenna diversity. Change it from Auto to Aux.
it has windows xp. saw what you said in another post. i did so and did a ie8 fix out of system care toolboox. wont know if those helped untill my wife wakes me up yelling at me that it is still slow. i guess the 54mbs or whatever is max data transfer and i associate that with slow surfing. i dont know what my inspiron 1545 is but its lightning fast. mini 10 reallllllll slow.

Restart your computer and try to connect.
