Wireless
I have a Studio 1555 64bit running on Windows 7, within the past few weeks, my wireless connection sporadically turns off, the wireless router is ok, I can connect wifi to my phone. My computer does not recognize any wireless networks, although there are several in the neighborhood. Sometimes it randomly comes on. Any ideas? I am new to this forum and I am lost. Please help!

brnidegirl1,
In addition to what DELL-Nikhil D stated...
Can you tell us what virus program and firewall you're using?
Can you run Finding System Information REMOVE YOUR PRODUCT ID and REGISTERED OWNER, if using XP, run an ipconfig /all log and post it back here.

Hi,
well, since the original poster did not respond I guess I will take advantage of this. I run the same a Studio 1555 64-bit though it is a vista. Recently my laptop has done the same, it searches for my nearby router spots it. I click to connect and it takes a while to give me that it did not receive a response from the access point. I have restarted my router and modem, as well as done a power cycle, my laptop still does not connect to my home router.
I am also running the Microsoft security essentials
I have done the following above and have removed the desired information.
Here it is:

Reply SenorKoala,
I don't see any network cards installed. Did your problem recently happen? If yes, did you try system restore?
Places to look to see if your Connection is enabled
I cannot currently access the manual to see if it is easy to access the wireless adapter to reseat it.
What virus program and firewall are you using?

Hi brnidegirl1,
Please check in safe mode with networking if you are able to go online.
To check in safe mode with networking follow the below steps:
Check if the computer is able to go online wirelessly in safe mode with networking.
If you are able to go online using the wireless network in safe mode with networking reboot the computer normally and run MS fixit. Use the below link

Click the link above and select Run now.
Please post the results.
