ERROR HELP! "Display Driver igfx has stopped responding, then corrected itself"

Hi.

I need help and I've tried to research this and found nothing helpful.

I have an Inspiron 1525- 4gb memory-250 hard drive-32 bit Vista Premium Home

Every time I try to play a virtual reality game (like WoW) I get this error "Display Driver igfx has stopped responding, then corrected itself"

My screen goes black and comes back...or my screen goes white and the browser stops responding.

I read that I might need to update my display driver...and I tried, but it says I have the latest.

What can I do about this?

Thanks

May

    Hello again,

    Well ....

You can try the game using "compatibility mode". Have you looked at your Dell downloads to see if an update is there for your video? And lastly, I suggest that you do a Google search using the term "Display Driver igfx has stopped responding". There are a few 'suggested' fixes, but I could not find one that looked like it worked or I would have told you about it.

And please remember, I am just a Dell user like yourself. I don't work for Dell. :emotion-36:

    Hi :)

Thank you very much for your suggestions.

I did find and download some video and chipset upgrades from Dell. Not sure if any of it has fixed my problem...I will check later.

I did do the google search before posting here...and from the looks of what I'd found, no one had a fix...that's why I thought to ask on here.

Thank you, again, for taking the time out to help me today of all days...Happy Thanksgiving Day :)
