Optiplex 3040 and 3050
Hello,
Is it ok to put a video card ASUS R5 230 on a 240 watt PSU, That card only has a TDP of about 20 watts.
Thanks,
Georgi

Thanks, my question is will the PSU handle that load from the video card?
Reply The low profile cards from Dell are designed to work fine in the 3040 3050 etc. So yes the power supply is fine with those cards. The R5 430 is the official card from dell.

There is a dell version and there are Non Dell versions.
NON DELL CARDS require SECURE BOOT OFF, LEGACY OPTION ROMS ON.
NVIDIA says it this way but this applies to ANY video card including ATI.
