Hi,

I have several Optiplex 7050's that I'd like to replace the original 3.5" HDD with a SSD.

If I understand correctly, I can either -

- get a 2.5" SATA SSD, in which case I would need a caddy to hold it in the 3.5 slot - which one?

- get a m.2 NVME SSD, but do I have to purchase a mounting kit for it? What about the screw that holds a 2280 to the motherboard?

Please advise.
