Hi all 

I have this machine with a complete power failure. Yesterday, I heard a "bang" noise and thought a glass or something metallic had fallen to the floor. I looked around and found nothing. It came from the direction where my computer is set up. Later, I tried to power up the computer only to find no response at all. This made me realise the bang I heard was most likely the power supply in the computer. Here's my question: Is it possible for the PSU to blow for some reason such as a power surge for example, even when the machine wasn't running? The solution I'm looking at is replacing the PSU. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
