dell vrtx gpu

Hello everyone I am mounting a Dell vrtx tower with 4 m630 blades for now but I encountered a problem with the graphics card and when I start the chassis the card activates without problem but after a few minutes that I have connected the screen it deactivates automatically, .. can someone help me solve my small problems. thank you

    Hi Zhadit,

I'm not understanding you when you're saying that the card is activating and deactivating. Could you clarify? Are you seeing any errors in the chassis logs?

    Zhadit,

Would you confirm the function you intend for the GPUs, also if you remove one of the GPUs does either work indiviually?

    Let us know.

I can't comment on that. I can't say that's not the problem. However, if insufficient power is the problem, the chassis logs should be able to pick that up within either the dumplogs or racdump output.

Without those logs, verifying the card health in another system and confirming slot health with another card would be my next steps. I'd also recommend making sure that the chassis' firmware is up to date, as well.

I updated the chassis 3.2, all I want is to use an nvidia quadro P4000 card

Only other thing I can think to offer is the VRTX manual, page 211 covers mapping PCIe devices. This would rule out the firmware and process, I wouldn't think you'd have 2 failed GPUs. I'd suspect the PCI slot and continue troubleshooting around that.
