Error when running Dell DSET tool

Hi all,

We have a blade system with Dell M1000e chassis, M620 blades.

They were installed Citrix XenServer 6.2 SP1.

Today, I tried to run Dell DSET tool on these server (dell-dset-lx32-3.7.0.219.bin) (Note: ...lx64... is not compatible), but I got error:

"Failed to install 'dell-dset-common' rpm"

Details is in attached image.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks,

Long Chu

    Hi Long,

What error do you get with the 64 bit version? That is the version that has compatibility with Xenserver 6.2 SP1

Is selinux enabled? Sometimes the security will block the install.

Could you show me how to check & enable selinux?

    Thanks

    Hi everyone,

Has Dell support team run DSET on XenServer before? We failed with both 3.7 & 3.6 version, both 32-bit & 64-bit. Now they told me to install DSET on our physical server :emotion-6:
