There are some software products that require additional licenses to run on multiple processors. You may want to check your applications for hardware requirements.

could a missing license cause a problem like a system freeze ?

Are there any known bug concerning hyper-threading ? could that cause our CPU freezes ?

In special in combination with index server ?
