Hello. I'm trying to do "mission impossible 7" and upgrade my iDrac6 Enterprise firmware. So far I found many broken links, documentation to older version of the support site and download file that ends with errors messages.
My question is if anyone ever succeeded with this mission and can give me a hint. Thanks in advace - Tal.
You can find iDRAC firmware downloads on the system page. Select the system, choose drivers & downloads, and it is listed under the Embedded Server Management category.
Hi, This is Dell poweredge R610, running windows 2012R2.
I want to upgrade everything I can, but most important is the 'Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller 6 - Enterprise' so I will be able to access it remotely.
The installation cannot continue. Make sure that the Configuration Manager Administration Console is installed on the system.
That message indicates that you tried to install the lifecycle controller integration for system center configuration manager. That is not that iDRAC firmware. It is also not under the Embedded Server Management category.
If you let me know what model server you are trying to update and the operating system you are trying to update from I will provide the direct link.

Upgrading the iDRAC firmware will not add the enterprise feature of remote console. Upgrading the iDRAC express to an iDRAC enterprise requires the installation of hardware. There is an iDRAC enterprise add-on that must be installed to allow console functionality. This is the correct download page to update the firmware:
Thank you, I thought that the link is for a non enterprise version. I've installed it and try to launch the virtual console and I get "connecting to virtual console server" and after a while "connection failed". Do I need to install someting else?
Also, every other upadte I'm trying to install ends up with an error. The bios for example gives me an error message: "The Update Package is invalid for current system. Please contact your service provider."
Shouldn't this proccess be a straightforward installation?
