When I attempt to update the firmware via Licecycle ctonroller FTP option to simply the default of 'ftp.dell.com' all I get is "Connecting to FTP server to download the catalog" for about 5 minutes and then a failure (see attached image).
Is there a trick here to get this work? No proxy server and the network is open to go out. No proxy, and just specifying the feault 'ftp.dell.com'.
I had the same problem with R620 two days ago, solution that worked for me was going into bios -> iDRAC setting -> reset to default (be sure that you have Service Tag cause this could erase ST number). Good luck!
Have you gone to the Settings section of the LCC and configured your network settings? What is the result of using the Test Network Connection link at the bottom of that page? Are you able to access ftp.dell.com through a browser on the same network as the iDRAC/LCC?
This type of issue is usually caused by incorrect configuration of network settings within the LCC, network security policies, or a routing/security issue with the ISP.
Con esto se soluciona normalmente ftp.dell.com, siempre y cuando vayamos a las configuraciones de red y le asignemos una ip a las configuraciones ipv4, las ipv6 las dejan asi. Deberia funcionar asi.
With this, ftp.dell.com is usually solved, as long as we go to the network configurations and assign an ip to the ipv4 configurations, the ipv6s leave them that way. It should work like that.
