PE2650, No Post.
Hi,
I'm new to the community forum, and to servers. Recently I've wanted to get into servers so I decided to buy a cheap server.
That server being a PE2650. I'm having a problem getting video or any kind of post.
I get no error messages on the LCD, and I'm currently on Minimum-to-post... The server worked a few days ago
So its obviously something I've done in the mean time. Firstly I was having a zombie mode on the server which was caused by the CPU not being fitted correctly. Then I had a VRM issue.. Now I have a issue where the server is running normal without no video/post.
Advice would be much appreciated, as I said above. I'm new to servers.
I have also looked on the forum and did a quick google search, returned no results with the symptoms I'm having

Is the processor damaged? Is it for sure seated correctly? Reseating the processors is a pretty common fix for no video situations. Do you have a single processor only? If so, then make sure it is in the first processor slot. If not, try a single processor in the first slot (then swap with the other to test).

I checked the processors, even changed them. Guess the only other thing is to buy a new mb.

I recently reseated the processor, so It should be correctly seated.. I will have to check again though.
As for the processor being damaged I'm unsure I'll have to do a swap. Its also a dual processor.
I'll check the processor and get back to you.
