VirtualCDrom VirtualFloppy - purpose?

In the bios you can set the virtual drives as boot devices... and in Windows they are displayed as normal Drives.
My questions are:

- what are these for? I have not yet found out how to mount anything to one of these virtual drives

- can i somehow mount these drives over network, eg using pxe boot or something like that?

I looked into the documentation but was unable to find useful info.

The VirtualCDROM and VirtualFloppy are part of the DRAC board. This is what
lets you remote boot the machine off a CD in a machine elsewhere.

    Hope this helps,

The VirtualCDROM and VirtualFLOPPY can be disabled. When the machine is booting, press the CTRL-D when it gets to the DRAC board configuration. Page down and diable virtual devices.

    Thx.
I figured it out soon after - I just didn't know that you have to access it through the drac card.
