Disabling Raid on PE 2600
Hello,
I have been searching desparately for a solution to the problem posted
here
A firm that deals with RAID recovery suggested that I disable the RAID using Configuration Setup. According to them, the physical droives would then be detected by their software and they claim it can be recovered.
Two questions [P L E A S E]
1. How can I disable the RAID?
2. Is it safe to disable RAID? In other words, can be enabled again without any damage?
I would TRULY appreciate it if anyone could help me with this,

- How about these HDs status? online? failed?missing?rebuiding?You may check these HDs status, if two or more HDs status are failed, this array must be unavailable.Same way to check HD status:CTRL M => objects => physical drives , then tell me these HDs status. maybe we have another method to restore array. commonly, the array should work fine with only ONE HD error

phew !! At long last a reply came !!
I think you are right. In fact I found out only this morning that one would DEFINITELY lose the array information and in that sense the date will be lost). But according to this company, if the disks are removed before any such step is taken, the data on the disk will be preserved. They reckon that they can recover THAT data PROVIDED that the disks are not connected to raid ? Not sure really myself but desperation makes one try anything!!

It looks like drives 0 and 2 are OK. Drive 1 has errors. They all appear online in CTRL M. I have included the details in the message here (not sure whether to repeat them here lest the moderators get angry with that repetition.
The screen doesn't show any indication of rebuilding, etc.. Please tell me if there is a need for more tests/checks.
