Removed and re-inserted Hard Drive

Hi I am new to this so please pardon my ignorance.

I had to move my poweredge 6800 to a different room and as you know that thing is quite heavy, I removed the hard drive from the slots, but now when I plug it in, it does not boot up at all. Its stuck at the Enter BMC Setup CTRL E screen.

My Harddrive is set to SCSI in the bios.. Any Help would be much appreciated.

Thank You

Did you have RAID enabled before?  Did you have only one hard drive?

I had my EMbedded Raid Controller as SCSI Enabled. I had a total of 6 Hard Drives.

I hope this was your question

    I had SCSI enabled before.

    I had 6 disk assigned -

    2 *73 Gb

    4* 146 Gb

They were assigned as individual drives like C D E F and so on ..

    the 73 were inserted in COL 1 :- 0 and 1

    the 146 were in Col 3 5 8 9 and 10

    Col 2 was empty

As long as it recognizes your disks then in CTRL-A with no errors, then it sounds like a Windows issue.  Try booting to your installation DVD's Recovery Console to see if it recognizes your Windows installation and attempt to repair it.

It is important to know for sure whether you had RAID enabled before or SCSI, because if you proceed with one and it was actually the other, then you can destroy the data.

You said you had 6 drives in SCSI mode ... that would mean you had 6 individual disks listed in the OS/Disk Management?  If you did not have 6 individual disks/drives in the OS, how many did you have and what were the partition/drive sizes?  How large are your hard drives?
