Good day,

Please I have have a Dell Poweredge r820 blade server with 5 drives. 

It failed to start properly and I noticed it was showing Virtual drive degraded. The problem was that there was not indication of a bad hard drive in the drive bay.

I then decided to remove and reinsert the drives. After this I got the no configuration present ein VD Mgt. I then proceeded to import the foreign view of the former VD and it was normal agin as a virtual drive.

However this did not clear the VD degraded message when booting up.

I then proceeded to removing each of the disks in order to know which one is bad and while doing so, to insert another good disk in order for the virtual drive to rebuild on this and discover which is bad.

However it didn't rebuild the new hard drive and this is a production system. So I decided to go back to the initial state that I was and find other solutions. Now I return the former drive removed from the 5th slot and because I forced it to go offline, it has remained in the offline state in the foreign view. All attempts to import foreing view failed because it has an offline drive. I navigated ti the PD mgt tab in order to try and force the drive online but the options are all greyed-out.

Please help

I need toget it online and or get my system back to normal as there is much info
