Does anyone know how I can reset the password for this device if I do not have it? I can get to the webpage that has a user but when I try typing in passwords I was told it was none work.
The service password is for dell’s use only just in case you get locked out of the unit and can’t get in they can login through the service account and reset the password.
As Jun stated you can reset the admin password is from the OCP (Operator Control Panel) go to the Configure Menu. Then from within the configure menu you are going to want to select Save/Restore. Once in the save & restore menu then select Restore Passwords. This will restore all passwords back to factory password. The factory user name & password are: Username=Admin Password=Secure.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
If a pin has not been set for the control panel then the default password can be reset by navigating to the Configure menu, then selecting the Restore Default menu and finally "Restore PSWDs" and confirming with OK. This restores the Admin password to its default of "secure" any User account password will be reset to no password.
As we have locked the Admin account on a remote TL2000 can you provide the info to allow us to reset the account (access the system using the service account)
The best thing to reset the admin password is to restore it from the GUI on the front panel by going to Configure then Save/Restore then Restore Passwords. Service password is exclusive for Dell use only.
