Dell T5820/T7820/T7920 NVME RAID

Does anyone have experience with the Dell VROC key (Dell Part 750-ABBU)? Specifically, I would like to know two things:

Is it identical to the Intel VROCSTANMOD (RAID 0/1/10) key?

Will other Intel keys (VROCPREMMOD and VROCISSDMOD) also work?

    1.  Dell 750-ABBU is equivalent with VROCSTANMOD

    2.  Yes, VROCSTANMOD and VROCISSDMOD will work but VROCISSDMOD will work with Intel drives only.

Thanks! Are all models of M2 and U2 drives supported by the VROCSTANMOD? Is there a list somewhere?

Not all models are supported.  VROC standard was designed to work with M.2 with NVMe PCIe SSD and U.2 drives.

Last time I checked, Dell (OEM) did not published any list of supported or compatible drives.  Intel had one but since they moved VROC into sustaining mode, and no longer selling keys to customer, only OEMs can, I think that list is not up-to-date and may not be valid anymore.

I want to stress that this isn't directly from Dell, but its from Intel, who makes the actual VROC controller...

These two links list the (Intel and non-Intel) SSD drives that are officially supported to work with VROC:

Look for the section entitled "NVMe SSD Support List" starting on pg. 10.

The first link lists the actual Intel drives + non-Intel Drives, and the second one lists only the non-Intel drives.

This link here is where I got the first two links from. It lists the release notes documents by each version of VROC.
