I want to upgrade my Precision Tower 5810 with a SSD drive. Right now I have two normal harddrives with 2T each. Each of them carries 2 partitions.

The first HDD has Windows 10 Pro installed on partition C and partition D carries documents not related to Windows.

My intention is to move the C partition to a much faster SSD drive.

I face a couple of challenges which I hope to clarify with Dell support and other users:

1. Is the Raid system important for the installation process of the SSD in any way?
2. If so, how do I identify the current Raid mode and how to procede with each possible mode?
3. How to install and configure the new SSD (not purchased yet)? Possibly there are a couple of settings necessary in the BIOS!?
4. How to copy the OS to new SSD without the need to reinstall Windows or software? For this purpose I could use Paragon Harddrive Manager 17 Advanced, which I own.
5. After having installed and configured successfully the SSD, can I merge the 2 partitions on HDD1 which carried previously the OS on partition C?
