Quadro K620 and Precision 490
Hello,
I know this issue i.e. graphics card compatibility might have already been discussed but nevertheless here it comes again
I'd like to install a new graphics card in my Precision 490, not necessarely the most recent one. The technical guide indicates only <512Mb cards but even if the Precision 490 only gets the 1st PCIe version, there should be compatible PCIe cards. I could not make work the PYN Quadro K620 (I asked and wait for technical support from them), the led diagnostic showing 134 if I remember well (pre-initialisation graphic card issue... or something alike) and black screen.
Testing my setup with userbenchmark.com and app, it shows the same setups of other people with recent and >512Mb graphics cards...
Last A08 BIOS version installed (GU083 board revision), what about legacy and UEFI BIOS issue ? or nothing to set with that ?
And pleeease don't say it's only compatible with nVidia FX 4500 because apparently it's not

According to Dell, there is "support for PCI Express x16 graphics cards up to 150 watts and with up to 512MB graphics memory including: nVIDIA® Quadro® FX 4500; nVIDIA QuadroFX 3500; ATI FireGL 7200; nVIDIA Quadro FX550; ATI™ FireGL™ V3400; nVIDIA Quadro NVS 285" on the 490.
I do not believe that your computer supports UEFI boot, so there should be one less thing to worry about.
