Dell A920 Refill Kit!

Alright I am sick of buying these overpriced cartridges for my Dell A920, I need some type of an ink refill kit for it...

Can I get an opinion/link etc. from someone who has or had a Dell A920 and is using/used a refill kit for it...

I only need an opinion from you about the black ink cartridge (because I use more than the color cartridge), and I don't use my color cartridge much but if you have some refill kit tips for that, then it would be awesome!

-Thanks in Advance..

I refill my 922 with black and color. I use I-print and Universal brand kits. The average cost is $2.50 per cart. fill. I have refilled each cart. dozens of times and they still work perfect. I print 8x10 photos and they are perfect color and resolution.

I have bought kits at Target, Walmart, Big Lots, Walgreens, K Mart, and some other drug stores and discount stores for about $7.50 per kit, which refills about 3 times.

    OK.......... William_the_Scott,

You have convinced me to give it a try.....$2.50 is soooo much better than $25.50.  I have two old carts to practice on...............now how the heck do I gain access to the area where I need to inject the ink?  Will the color one have 3 bays for me to fill up?   Three colors came with my kit plus the big black ink container.  Some sort of holders are included with the kit......do I need to use them?  Thanks in advance.

I bought a cartridge refill kit a few weeks ago and was able to refill my a940 black cartridge OK -- it worked until yesterday when it stopped printing.

The kit had me drill a refill hole in the top of the cartridge, refill with ink, and then stick a plug in the hole.  Anyway, yesterday I found the plug missing.  When I refilled the cartridge again, I just put scotch tape over the hole.  The cartridge ink seems to flow if I sit it on a wet napkin, but it won't print after I reinstall it in the printer.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    .......... William_the_Scott.......

Where are you?  We need your help.  I do hope that you are not on vacation for like a couple of weeks or so.  I'm kind of an impatient person so please bear with me.  I was hoping for a response two minutes after I posted the message.

Sorry but my IP provider was out all holiday weekend so I couldn't get messages. My printer is a 922. The ink carts on the printers ending in 2 are very easy to refill. Just remove the top label and the refill holes are right there. But a number of people on this forum have successfully filled their ink carts from printers ending in 0. I think one of the things they had to do to make their refills work is to reset the ink cart.installation menu to "new ink cart". Also I think the instructions for refilling the Dell "0" ink carts are with the kit as Lexmark cart instructions.
For the black ink cart I believe you have to drill a little hole in the top with a screw or drill furnished with the kit. For the color ink cart I believe you have to pry off the whole top of the cart which exposes 3 color chambers to fill. With old carts or very empty carts you should soak the bottoms in hot water for 15-30 minutes to disolve dried ink. I refill mine just as soon as they go empty.
