Dell AIO 948 Driver problem: reinstall driver & communication problem
Hi,
I'm using AIO 948 on Windows 7 64 bits. It has been working correctly. Since a few days (after a Windows Service Pack update?) the programm asks me to reinstall the driver again and again.
I installed it many times but now get the error: Communication problem.
I'm using the USB cable and have Microsoft Essentials as security software.
Go to the USB Controller section and click the + sign.
Go to each USB Root Hub and right click on it, left click properties, left click power management. Uncheck the box, allow computer to turn off this device to save power.
It might not be possible to use your multifunction printer with this version of Windows. To search for similar devices that are compatible, go online to the Windows 7 Compatibility Center:
Download the Vista 64-bit drivers. Install the Vista 64-bit drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode You should get a message the printer is not connected, maybe not. If you do, you'll be prompted to connect the printer. If installation fails, then read Language Solution for Dell Inkjet Printers You'll need to go to (C:\Program Files\Dell 948\Drivers) and create a Dutch Folder. Copy all the files in the English Folder and paste them to the Dutch folder. Then install the Vista 64-bit drivers in the compatibility mode. You should now get the message the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time(powered on)
