Help with changing printer margin settings.

I need some help, step by step instructions, on how to change the printer settings for the margins. I am trying to do it for Adobe 8.1.  I clicked on file, then on print preview, then on properties.   I want a 1" left margin so I can bind documents.  My printer is a Dell 940 All-In-One.  I click properties, but from there I am not finding what I want.  If you can help, I would really appreciate it.  Thanks.

    You have to change the margins from within whatever software application you are using. For example, if you are using Word, you change the margins from within Word. NOTE - If you already have existing documents where you want the margins changed, you will have to do this from within each document.
