I have a Dell V305 printer and was having printing issues. Every time I would print the the printer was only printing every other line. I removed the ink cartridges and put them back in. Well I was putting them back in I accidentally broke off a piece from where you insert the ink cartridges(the part that you push down to hold cartridges in). The levers are able to close and stay down but now I am getting an error message telling me to install a black ink cartridge on the left side. I unplugged the printer from the wall and pulled out cord from back of printer to reset. This did not fix the problem. Do I need to buy a new printer or can this be fixed.  By the way the ink cartridges are not Dell they are generic but they are fairly new and the color(right side) is sensing the ink in there. Please help...
