Just decided to lock itself out of the network randomly... unplugging/resetting wireless all do not work. Boot up goes ok and you can see printer on network for about 30 secs then it goes into "processing...." mode with LPD in the window and it appears like it's trying to print, but nothing ever happens. Would love to be able to clear out whatever it is trying to do, but I suspect I am facing a hardware issue.
Thank you for posting to the forum. It sounds like is more of a data issue versus hardware. Anything from a bad print job to rogue data packets. A good test is to power cycle the printer with only the power cable plugged in so that there is no data being received by the printer. Once it comes to ready print a report from the panel of the printer itself. If this prints without issue then your hardware should be fine.
You will want to then address the issue with the network/PC by uninstalling the old drivers, rebooting, and completing a fresh install. If issues persist please contact us by phone or chat support.
tried that... no help. The printer seems always "busy" trying to print something that does not exist. I am going to try to turn all systems off (including router, then bring each on line one at a time. BTW, I hard wired into the printer, no change.
It works via USB, and will print short (ie 1-2 pages) documents via wireless, but gets stucked in 'LPD Processing' if I try to send a larger file for printing...
I have spent at least a dozen hours with Dell support, without success, including installs and re-installs...
