no communication between computer and printer
please help, I have a dell 725 printer which came with my dell inspiron6400/running windows xp home edition, when ever i try to install the printer , a little screen pops up saying , ... A problem occured during hardware installation, your new hardware may not work properly , this constantly happens, even when i do manage to install, thats about as far as it goes. never been able to print , at one point it said, computer cannot communicate with the printer, , any idea,s? i also had the same type of problem with a canonpixmaip2000 so i ditched it and tried to install the 725 instead thinking ( because it was the printer that came with the computer, i would have no problems ) but, as you can see, i do. I also get error code 28 in regards to the driver plus problems in device manager, ie unknown devices, and 725 printer highlited in yellow, again, please help, Jupitor.
