When inserting a DVD disk in the DVD drive, instead of one of the players opening, one of the Documents and Settings folders (the one with my name) opens. I have checked the properties of the drive in My Computer and checked Window's Media Player under the autoplay options but it has no effect when I insert a DVD. Music CDs work fine and Dell Jukebox opens when the CD is inserted. I would really like to have the Dell Media Experience open when a DVD is placed in the DVD drive.
* Click Start- Run
* Type gpedit.msc
* Click OK
* On the left underComputer Configuration, click the + left of Administrative Templates
* Click the folder System
* Double-click Turn off Autoplay
* Insert a dot by Enabled
* Change the drop down choice to All drives
* Click Apply- OK
* Close all boxes
* Click Start- Shutdown- Restart- OK or Click Start- Turn Off Computer- Restart
Thank you for the reply, however, it appears that the program "gpedit.msc" is not on my computer. Neither the run progran or the find program can locate the file.
I seem to have solved the problem by downloading and installing the two files to upgrade Dell Media Experience. Dell Media Experience not starts when a DVD disk is loaded.
