Thanks for the quick response. I'm not happy with the answer though. I realize I'm just a small, singular customer, of a large business-Dell.  Doesn't seem right. This is the 5th Dell system we've bought for our family, and I've been a long time user of Dells at work. This specific purchase, from the very beginning, has been problematic. Both ordering, pre & post sale customer service, and tech support (Premium I might add). I may buy another Dell in the future, but it will most certainly not be bought directly from Dell. 

Do you still have the original drive?  Did you make a Win 10 Recovery drive before you swapped out the drive?

I asked someone else, but how do you know you do not have the Cinema components installed?  This might seem strange but it would help me to understand the difference between those systems and normal ones.  

I don't remember trying it but Dell does have some updating utilities which may be capable of reinstalling OEM software.  I always wondered about the Digital Delivery utility and maybe help and support.

I do have the original drive. I was not successful in creating a 'recovery drive', which prompted my first reach out to premium tech support. I do have at least one component of Dell Cinema, I think. MaxxAudio, which installed either by Windows Update or Dell Update. Honestly, I don't know if any other parts of it were installed. The current OS is a Windows 10 Pro install on an out of the box M2 drive. Just ran Windows Update and Dell Update after, whatever was installed by default with those.Nothing shows up in Digital Delivery, before and after the upgrade.Don't plan on using any Dell media app, just want the machine updated before any use other than routine stuff. 

I would suggest that you download and install "Dell Command Update ver 3", Seems there is an option there to download all needed drivers for doing a clean install.

It saved me with the only issue I've had with this notebook, A tech on my 3rd or 4th try with Dell support.  The tech before him had me download and install DCU ver 2.4 which is for windows 7 and 8 Ver 10 is for Windows 10 and once installed and run manually it told me I need 2 drivers the main one was an Intel IO driver once installed my issue disappeared. Dell update and Dell update Assistant did not work for me on my Issue. Sounds like it might be helpful for you.

With notebooks, It's been my experience that manufacture drivers generally work better than Windows Native drivers. And in some cases windows native drivers can cause some serious issues.

After this, save the file as Fixappnotcompatible.bat

After you have done this, open an elevated cmd.

There, you need to enter the following command-REG ADD "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Store" /v OEMID /f /t REG_SZ /d DELL

After it is done, restart the pc and then you will be able to install all the apps again
