Copy the fonts of interest to removable media (CD or floppy). On the new computer open Windows Explorer and go to C:\Windows\Fonts. When the Fonts folder is open go to File|Install new font and browse to the location of the fonts on the removable media.
Denny, Thanks muchly. So simple. Wish I had thought of that. While I'm at it: how do I transfer programs from my old computer to the new one. I know how to move the files but not the programs. Again thanks for your help.

If they are retail purchased programs, you install them from the old computer and install them on the new computer from the CD.
If they are OEM programs, likely the license agreement ties them to the computer they came on.
